About Us
Dawn (ANATD) is the Director of Wollaton School of Dancing and is fully qualified with NATD. With over 20 years of dancing experience she has won numerous competitions all over the country and has a sizable collection of medals and trophies to show for it!
Dancing has always been in Dawn’s blood, being able to walk at the tender age of 8 months! At the age of 8 Dawn started dancing freestyle, Latin & Ballroom, and by the age of 9 started entering competitions.
As far as dedication goes, Dawn gave up weekends and all her free time to commit to dancing and entering competitions, while keeping on top of school commitments.
Dawn’s name and reputation became well known as a dancer when she appeared on central news at the age of 16 for winning the most 1st places in competitions (across the Midlands)!
She has had various mentions in dance magazines for winning competitions and dancing for charities at local fetes and gala’s.
Becoming fully qualified at the age of 21, Dawn eventually began teaching for herself, passing on knowledge, technique and styling.
Of course all this has been achieved and made possible by the big support from her mum and her family, from sewing costumes, making travelling to competitions fun and possible. Everyone pulled together by putting in lots of time, energy and effort, especially her mum.
